Searcy High School Educators Represent Arkansas at AP Reading in Kansas City

Two Searcy High School educators are representing Arkansas at the Advanced Placement Reading in Kansas City, Missouri, where teachers from across the nation gather to score Advanced Placement exam responses submitted by students.
Amanda Simpson is serving as a reader for AP U.S. History, while Sara Dacus is scoring exams for AP Seminar. The annual AP Reading event brings together experienced educators to evaluate student responses and collaborate on college-level academic standards.
School officials say both educators are also expanding their knowledge of the courses they teach while networking with fellow teachers from around the country.
The experience helps educators strengthen classroom instruction and better prepare students for future college success through Advanced Placement coursework.
Searcy High School officials say they are proud of Simpson and Dacus for representing the district and serving in this important educational role.
