Camp Robinson Opens Gates for Free Minuteman Day September 12
The Arkansas National Guard will open Camp Robinson to the public for Minuteman Day on Saturday, September 12, 2026.
Admission is free, and the event will showcase military equipment, military service and the capabilities Arkansas Soldiers and Airmen bring to the state and nation.
Visitors will also have opportunities to learn about the Arkansas Army and Air National Guard and available military careers.
Camp Robinson’s gates will open to the public at 7:00 a.m.
A 5K trail race will begin at 8:00 a.m. for participants who register online. Visitors who want to test themselves against Arkansas Soldiers may also register for the Army Combat Fitness Competition.
A barbecue competition is also scheduled during the event. Registration for the 5K race, fitness competition and barbecue contest is available at:

High school and middle school cross-country races will begin at 9:00 a.m. for registered schools.
The cross-country competition is free, with staggered starting times for senior boys, senior girls, junior high boys and junior high girls.
Only schools sanctioned by the Arkansas Activities Association may register. School registration is available at:

Military equipment will be displayed throughout the day. Arkansas Guardsmen will be stationed near the equipment to explain its purpose and capabilities and answer questions from visitors.
The 106th Army Band will perform live throughout the event, and food trucks will be available on-site.
Minuteman Day will conclude at 1:00 p.m.
Everyone attending the event must enter Camp Robinson through the main gate near the intersection of Donovan Briley Boulevard and Military Road.
