Ruddell Hill Fire Department Celebrating Major Milestone With Free Chili Cook-Off In Batesville

The Ruddell Hill Fire Department is inviting the community to celebrate a major milestone with a free Bank Note Burning and Chili Cook-Off.

The celebration is set for Saturday, September 12, 2026, beginning at 5 p.m. at the Ruddell Hill Fire Department, located at 1125 Bethesda Road in Batesville.

The event marks a major accomplishment for the department and the community: paying off the loan for the fire department’s new building.

Organizers are planning an evening filled with food, fellowship and family fun.

The celebration will feature firefighter chili, firefighter games, a bonfire and other activities for those attending.

The Bank Note Burning ceremony will recognize the community support that helped the Ruddell Hill Fire Department reach the goal of paying off the building.

The entire event is free and open to the public.

Residents are encouraged to come out, enjoy some chili and help the Ruddell Hill Fire Department celebrate the accomplishment Saturday, September 12, beginning at 5 p.m. at 1125 Bethesda Road in Batesville.
