Batesville turned out in a big way Monday as residents gathered to celebrate the opening of the city’s new Slim Chickens restaurant.
Crowds began arriving after the doors opened at 10 a.m., welcoming the Arkansas-born restaurant brand to Independence County and helping make the occasion one of the most memorable restaurant openings in Batesville history.
The opening marked a major milestone for Scott and Cody Davis and their families, whose work helped bring the new dining destination to the Batesville community.
Residents packed the restaurant throughout opening day, ordering Slim Chickens favorites while meeting employees and celebrating the arrival of another growing business in Batesville.
The turnout demonstrated the excitement surrounding new development in Batesville and the community’s willingness to support businesses investing in the area.
