Heroes for Hope 5K Brings Superhero Fun to Cave City
Local runners, families and community supporters are invited to dress as their favorite superheroes for the Heroes for Hope 5K and Kids’ Fun Run at Cave City Park on October 10, 2026.
The family-friendly event is co-hosted by The CALL in Sharp & Independence Counties and the Sharp County Sheriff Foundation.
Proceeds will support children in foster care, assist families in need and advance local law enforcement public service missions across Sharp and Independence counties.
The 5K Run/Walk will begin at 9 a.m. A free Kids’ Fun Run will follow at 9:10 a.m.
On-site registration will be available from 8 to 8:30 a.m. The start and finish lines will be located at Cave City Park.
The 5K registration fee is $30. Participants must register by September 10, 2026, to guarantee an official event T-shirt.
All official race participants will receive finisher medals.
Organizers are encouraging participants of all ages to wear superhero costumes during the event.
A Touch-a-Truck area will feature a local fire truck, ambulance and police car. Children will have an opportunity to explore the emergency vehicles and meet local first responders.
Local businesses and community organizations are also invited to become event sponsors.
