Federal, state, and local law enforcement agencies have announced the results of Operation Viper, a high-intensity fugitive apprehension initiative that led to dozens of arrests and significant seizures of weapons, narcotics, and illegal proceeds across Arkansas.

According to the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Eastern District of Arkansas and the FBI Little Rock Field Office, Operation Viper resulted in the execution of 26 warrants and the arrest of 39 individuals. Authorities also seized 33 firearms, approximately 100 pounds of marijuana, large quantities of fentanyl and other illicit pills, and $74,400 in alleged illegal proceeds.
Federal prosecutors announced that 9 individuals arrested during the operation were indicted by a federal grand jury on June 2, 2026. Charges include felon in possession of a firearm, possession of a machine gun, and possession with intent to deliver marijuana.
U.S. Attorney Jonathan D. Ross said the operation demonstrates the commitment of law enforcement agencies to remove violent and repeat offenders from Arkansas communities. FBI Special Agent in Charge Jason Van Goor said violent crime will not be tolerated and that agencies will continue to aggressively pursue offenders who threaten public safety.
Participating agencies included the FBI, U.S. Attorney’s Office, ATF, DEA, Homeland Security Investigations, U.S. Marshals Service, Arkansas State Police, Pulaski County Sheriff’s Office, White County Sheriff’s Office, Little Rock Police Department, North Little Rock Police Department, Pine Bluff Police Department, Arkansas Community Correction, and the MEMS STAR Team.
Authorities emphasized that an indictment is only an allegation and all defendants are presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in a court of law.
