Cave City Elementary Groundbreaking Ceremony Set for August 27

The Cave City School District is preparing to celebrate a major milestone as construction gets underway on a new Cave City Elementary School.
The district, along with FARCO, will host a groundbreaking ceremony on Thursday, August 27, 2026, at 10 a.m. at 824 North Main Street in Cave City.
School officials are inviting parents, students, community members, local businesses and others to attend the ceremony and celebrate the beginning of the project.
The groundbreaking will mark the start of what district leaders describe as an important investment in the future of Cave City students, families and the surrounding community.
School officials say the new elementary school represents more than a construction project, with the facility expected to have an impact on generations of students who will attend school in Cave City.
The district is encouraging community members to bring friends and coworkers to participate in the celebration.
The ceremony will take place at the elementary school site at 824 North Main Street beginning at 10 a.m. August 27.
The theme for the groundbreaking is “Building Today. Inspiring Tomorrow.”
Additional information about the construction project and its progress is expected to be released as work moves forward.
