Arkansas roots musician JT Trawick will return home to Conway for a special afternoon of music with several performers who helped shape his musical life.
JT Trawick & Friends will take the stage from 2 until 4 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 30, at The Max Event Venue, located at 1007 Spencer Street in Conway.
The 2-hour concert will feature old-time fiddle music, bluegrass, country swing, original songs, stories and what organizers describe as some serious Arkansas pickin’.

Joining him will be longtime Arkansas bluegrass musician, teacher and songwriter Bill Nesbitt. Nesbitt has been part of the Arkansas bluegrass community for decades and was among the earliest influences on Trawick’s musical career.
Skip Wooten will perform on fiddle and mandolin. Wooten is a veteran member of the Wooten Brothers Bluegrass Band, which helped carry Arkansas bluegrass music to audiences across the country.
Kristian Miller will add vocals and bass to the performance. Miller is a vocalist, bassist and songwriter who grew up performing across Arkansas and beyond with her family band, Posey Hill.
The lineup will also feature Tim Trawick, a lifelong Arkansas fiddler and teacher who has spent more than 40 years preserving and passing along traditional Ozark fiddle music.
The Arkansas Arts Council named Tim Trawick, of Greenbrier, the 2026 Arkansas Living Treasure. The award recognizes masters of traditional crafts and folk arts who work to preserve Arkansas culture and pass their knowledge to future generations.
For JT Trawick, the Conway concert is more than another performance. It is an opportunity to share the stage with musicians he learned from, listened to, performed with and admired throughout his life.
