Robin Trent of Faulkner County has been named the 2025 Arkansas Master Gardener of the Year, earning one of the state’s highest honors for volunteer service and leadership in horticulture.

The award was presented during the Arkansas Master Gardener Program State Conference held June 2-4 in Conway. Trent’s recognition comes just 4 years after being named Rookie of the Year, highlighting an extraordinary commitment to service and community involvement.
According to the Arkansas Master Gardener Program, Trent contributed more than 600 volunteer hours during 2025 across 12 different projects. Her efforts ranged from securing 56,000 pounds of gravel to improve accessibility at project sites to mentoring new volunteers and strengthening educational opportunities for fellow Master Gardeners.
Program leaders praised Trent’s dedication, leadership and willingness to tackle projects that make a lasting impact in communities throughout Faulkner County and beyond.
The Arkansas Master Gardener Program, administered through the University of Arkansas System Division of Agriculture Cooperative Extension Service, trains volunteers who support horticulture education, beautification projects and community outreach efforts across the state.
