, , Leave a comment

Drivers across central and north-central Arkansas are seeing some welcome relief at the gas pump as gasoline prices move lower, with Searcy reporting one of the lowest prices in the region at $3.59 per gallon for regular unleaded gasoline.

A local price survey provided to ArkansasRadio.com Radio Stations shows gasoline selling for less than $4 per gallon in 9 Arkansas communities, including Beebe, Cabot, Conway, Greenbrier, Newport, Batesville, Heber Springs, Searcy and Sherwood.

**Searcy leads the local price comparison at $3.59 per gallon, while Heber Springs has the highest reported price among the 9 communities at $3.92.**

The difference between the lowest and highest reported prices is 33 cents per gallon, which could make a noticeable difference for motorists filling up their vehicles.

## Searcy Reports Lowest Gas Price Among 9 Arkansas Communities

According to the local price survey, motorists in Searcy can find regular unleaded gasoline for $3.59 per gallon.

A photograph supplied to ArkansasRadio.com Radio Stations shows a Walmart Neighborhood Market gasoline sign advertising regular unleaded at $3.59 per gallon and diesel fuel at $5.72 per gallon.

The prices underscore how much motorists can save by comparing stations and communities before filling their tanks.

While all 9 cities in the local survey reported gasoline prices below $4, motorists in some communities are paying more than 30 cents per gallon above the lowest reported price.

## Gas Prices Across Central and North-Central Arkansas

The following regular unleaded gasoline prices were reported in the local survey:

Searcy — $3.59 per gallon

Sherwood — $3.71 per gallon

Conway — $3.75 per gallon

Greenbrier — $3.77 per gallon

Cabot — $3.81 per gallon

Newport — $3.84 per gallon

Beebe — $3.86 per gallon

Batesville — $3.88 per gallon

Heber Springs — $3.92 per gallon

These are reported local pump prices, not citywide averages. Individual stations may charge different amounts, and prices can change throughout the day.

## Arkansas Statewide Average Falls Below $4

The latest figures from AAA show that gasoline prices across Arkansas have continued moving downward.

As of October 15, AAA reports a statewide average of approximately $3.94 per gallon for regular unleaded gasoline.

That compares with approximately $3.99 a week earlier.

The decline provides some relief for motorists after a period of elevated fuel costs.

However, despite the recent drop, Arkansas gasoline remains considerably more expensive than it was a year ago.

AAA reports that the statewide average for regular unleaded gasoline was approximately $2.65 per gallon at this time in 2025.

That means drivers are still paying roughly $1.29 more per gallon than a year earlier.

## Arkansas Gas Prices Remain Below National Average

Although gasoline prices remain elevated compared with last year, Arkansas motorists are paying less than the national average.

AAA reports the national average at approximately $4.33 per gallon on October 15, compared with Arkansas at approximately $3.94.

The difference is about 40 cents per gallon.

The price gap means Arkansas continues to offer some relief compared with many other states, even as drivers remain concerned about the cost of transportation.

Gasoline prices are influenced by several factors, including crude oil prices, refinery operations, fuel supply, transportation costs and consumer demand.

## How Much Can Drivers Save?

The difference in gasoline prices across the region can add up, particularly for families, commuters and workers who travel regularly.

Using the reported $3.59 price in Searcy and $3.92 in Heber Springs, a motorist filling a 15-gallon tank would pay:

Searcy at $3.59 — $53.85

Heber Springs at $3.92 — $58.80

That represents a difference of $4.95 on a 15-gallon purchase.

For a driver purchasing 20 gallons, the difference increases to $6.60.

Actual savings depend on the station, the amount of fuel purchased and the distance traveled to reach a lower-priced location.

## Diesel Prices Remain Much Higher

While regular gasoline prices are showing improvement, diesel fuel remains considerably more expensive.

The Walmart Neighborhood Market sign photographed in the local report advertises diesel fuel at $5.72 per gallon, compared with $3.59 for regular unleaded gasoline.

The difference at that location is $2.13 per gallon.

According to AAA, Arkansas’ statewide diesel average is approximately $5.92 per gallon as of October 15.

Higher diesel costs remain a concern for transportation companies, farmers, delivery businesses and other industries that depend on diesel-powered equipment.

## Motorists Encouraged to Compare Local Pump Prices

For Arkansas residents traveling between Searcy, Beebe, Cabot, Conway, Greenbrier, Newport, Batesville, Heber Springs and Sherwood, comparing fuel prices may help reduce transportation expenses.

However, driving a considerable distance just to purchase cheaper gasoline may eliminate potential savings.

Drivers should consider fuel economy, distance and convenience when deciding where to fill up.

Prices at individual stations can change without notice, and the lowest reported price in one community may not be available at every location.

## ArkansasRadio.com Radio Stations Continues Monitoring Local Gas Prices

As motorists continue watching fuel costs, the latest local figures provide some encouraging news, with all 9 surveyed communities reporting regular unleaded gasoline below $4 per gallon.

For now, Searcy’s reported $3.59 gasoline price stands out as the lowest among the communities included in this local survey.

Motorists are encouraged to check posted prices before fueling because prices can change throughout the day.
