Stone County Sheriff’s Office Searching for Missing Juvenile and Infant Son

Stone County Sheriff’s Office is requesting the public’s assistance in locating a missing juvenile and her infant son.

 

Authorities say 15-year-old Roseanna Corter and her 7-month-old son Ryder Corter were last seen around 6 AM on Friday, May 14, 2026, in the Marcella area of Stone County.

Investigators say Roseanna reportedly left her residence following an argument with her father. Preliminary information indicates she may have left in a silver Chevrolet Tracker traveling toward the Pleasant Plains area in Independence County. Officials say she may be accompanied by a 16-year-old male and possibly another female.

Deputies say they have followed all available local leads and continue actively investigating their whereabouts. Authorities stated there is currently no indication of foul play, but concerns remain because of Roseanna’s age, the age of her infant son, and their unknown location.

Sheriff Brandon Long said the investigation remains active and ongoing.
