Searcy Police Department has identified the woman found deceased on April 17 near 2013 West Beebe-Capps Expressway as 45-year-old Misty Parson of Searcy.
According to police, officers responded to a report of a possibly deceased person located in a creek in the area of West Beebe-Capps Expressway. As part of the ongoing investigation, the body was transported to the Arkansas Crime Lab for examination.
Authorities said the investigation remains active and open. Officials previously stated there was no apparent danger to the public, though detectives continue working to determine the circumstances surrounding the death.
The Searcy Police Department said additional information will be released as it becomes available.
