Sixty-six students and family members of Arkansas state employees have received scholarships to help them continue their education.
The Arkansas State Employees Association awarded a record $66,000 through its 2026 scholarship program. Each of the 66 recipients received a $1,000 scholarship.
The recipients include students from communities across Arkansas, including Batesville, Cabot, Conway, Greenbrier, Jacksonville, Jonesboro, Lonoke, Mountain View, Searcy, Sherwood, Walnut Ridge and Ward.
“These scholarships help our members and their families keep moving forward by assisting them in their pursuit of a higher education degree,” ASEA Executive Director John Bridges said. “We’re also proud that 99% of the funds stay in-state.”
ASEA launched the scholarship program in 2020. Since then, the association has awarded a total of $258,000 in scholarships.
The program is available to active ASEA members and eligible dependents of active and retired association members.
