Lyon College will bring employers, recruiters and graduate programs together with job seekers during its Fall 2026 Career Expo.
The Career Expo will be held from 10 a.m. until 1 p.m. Tuesday, October 13, inside Becknell Gymnasium at the Garner Student Recreation Center on the Lyon College campus.
The campus is located at 2300 Highland Road in Batesville.
The event is open to Lyon College students, alumni and members of the community interested in exploring employment, internship and graduate education opportunities.
MORE THAN 30 ORGANIZATIONS EXPECTED
More than 30 companies and organizations are scheduled to participate in this year’s Career Expo.
Recruiters representing businesses, industries and university graduate programs will be available to discuss potential employment opportunities, internships and advanced educational programs.
Lyon College’s Marketing and Communications Department will also provide complimentary professional photographs suitable for attendees to use on their LinkedIn profiles.
HOW ATTENDEES CAN PREPARE
Anyone planning to attend is encouraged to update their résumé and LinkedIn profile before the event.
Organizers also recommend that attendees wear professional business attire, identify the companies they want to meet, research those organizations, prepare thoughtful questions and practice a 30-second elevator speech.
Attendees should bring several printed copies of their résumé to share with prospective employers and recruiters.
CAREER ASSISTANCE AVAILABLE YEAR-ROUND
The Lyon College Center for Career and Professional Development works throughout the year to help students secure full-time employment and internships.
The center offers students one-on-one assistance with résumé preparation, interviewing techniques and career searches. It also provides programs designed to connect students with participating companies and organizations.
