INFORMATION FOR BIDDERS:
Prospective bidders can view the complete Public Auction Catalog at www.cosl.org. The catalog includes the parcels being offered, auction information and additional resources for buyers.
The Commissioner of State Lands encourages bidders to review the buyer’s guide, applicable state laws and all available information about a parcel before bidding. The website also includes an instructional video explaining how to research tax-delinquent properties.
Bidders must register before participating and present a qualifying federal or state-issued identification card from within the United States.
Bidding on each parcel begins at the total amount of delinquent taxes, penalties and interest owed.
Purchases must be paid in full at the auction site. Accepted payment methods include business checks, personal checks and credit or debit cards. Cash will not be accepted for auction purchases.
The 2025 property taxes are not included in the opening bid because those taxes are not yet delinquent. Winning bidders will be responsible for paying the 2025 taxes directly to the appropriate county tax collector by 10/15/2026.
Properties that do not sell during the 9/9/2026 Conway auction are expected to appear on the COSL post-auction sales list approximately 30 days later. Those properties may then be purchased through the agency’s online auction system.
INFORMATION FOR PROPERTY OWNERS:
Property owners have until 4:00 p.m. on the final business day before their scheduled auction to redeem a tax-delinquent parcel.
The Commissioner of State Lands must receive the completed Petition to Redeem and full payment by the deadline.
A parcel cannot be redeemed after it is sold during a live auction. Auction sales are final.
Owners may redeem tax-delinquent parcels online at www.cosl.org using a credit or debit card.
Owners paying by check or money order must include a completed Petition to Redeem with their payment. The petition can be printed from the COSL website or requested by calling 501-324-9422.
Owners attempting to redeem property within 30 days of an auction must use certified funds. They may also pay with cash in person at the Commissioner of State Lands Real Estate Office at:
7003 Valley Ranch Drive
Little Rock, Arkansas
The office is located off Highway 10 in west Little Rock.
Cash is accepted only for in-person property redemptions at the Little Rock office. Cash will not be accepted for purchases at the auction sites.
“Property taxes help fund schools, roads, libraries and public services including ambulances,” Land said.
Additional parcel listings, buyer resources, redemption information and instructional videos are available at www.cosl.org.
