Harding Place Senior Living will celebrate a major expansion with a groundbreaking ceremony at 2 p.m., Thursday, August 20, 2026.
The senior-living community currently spans approximately 99,000 square feet and includes 116 apartment homes.
The new project will add approximately 108,000 square feet and 82 apartment homes.
Once the expansion is completed, Harding Place will encompass approximately 207,000 square feet and provide a total of 198 apartment homes.
The development will more than double the community’s existing physical footprint while significantly increasing the number of available senior-living residences in Searcy.
The 82 additional apartments represent an increase of more than 70% over Harding Place’s current housing capacity.
The groundbreaking ceremony will mark the beginning of the expansion and celebrate the continued growth of the retirement community.
Harding Place is located at 801 Benton Avenue on the Harding University campus in Searcy.
The community provides all-inclusive retirement living and offers residents access to activities, amenities and services while remaining close to restaurants, shopping, entertainment and Harding University events.
The expansion will allow Harding Place to serve additional residents seeking retirement-living options in Searcy and the surrounding region.
