Advanced manufacturing company Oobotic has announced plans to invest approximately $6.5 million in its first production facility in Melbourne, Arkansas, creating up to 70 new jobs during the next 4 years.

The approximately 97,000-square-foot facility, located at 2262 La Crosse Road, will expand Oobotic’s U.S. manufacturing capabilities using advanced AI-enabled automation while strengthening domestic production.
“Oobotic is pleased to establish operations in Melbourne and become part of the local community,” said Billy Faver, plant manager for Oobotic. “This facility will support our manufacturing activities in the United States and provide a foundation for future growth.”
The Melbourne operation will initially manufacture electronic products and other consumer goods. It will also support U.S. box fan manufacturing for Aspen Appliance Inc., utilizing advanced automation designed to create scalable domestic production.
Jason Liszewski, Vice President of Sales for Aspen Appliance Inc., said reshoring manufacturing requires advanced technology to remain competitive while supporting American jobs.
The company selected Melbourne because of its available workforce, favorable business climate, operational advantages and incentives provided by the Arkansas Economic Development Commission (AEDC).
“Oobotic’s decision to locate in Melbourne is a positive development for the region and will bring new employment opportunities to north-central Arkansas,” said Clint O’Neal, Executive Director of the Arkansas Economic Development Commission. “We appreciate the company’s investment in Arkansas and look forward to supporting its continued growth.”
The facility will be equipped with modern manufacturing systems and production equipment. Oobotic expects to hire employees in manufacturing, operations and administrative positions.
