Visitors attending the 2026 Cave City Watermelon Festival will have two new ways to experience everything the community has to offer.
The Cave City Area Chamber of Commerce has announced the launch of The Sweetest Shuttle, a free vintage trolley service operating Friday, July 24, along with the debut of a brand-new Cave City Visitor Map.

The Sweetest Shuttle allows festival visitors to park once and ride throughout Cave City, making stops near boutiques, restaurants, antique stores, specialty shops, watermelon stands, Window Wars displays and other local attractions.
“The Sweetest Shuttle is about encouraging people to discover more of our community,” said Chamber Executive Director Brandi Schulz. “We’re inviting visitors to explore our local businesses, spend more time in town and experience everything Cave City has to offer.”
The Chamber is also unveiling its first professionally designed visitor map featuring shopping, dining, attractions, lodging, parks, historic sites and other points of interest throughout the community. Complimentary copies will be available during the festival and remain available year-round at participating businesses and visitor locations.
The free shuttle service is made possible through the support of Bank of Cave City and First Community Bank and complements the festival’s existing shuttle service that transports visitors between parking areas and festival grounds.
Chamber officials hope both new initiatives will encourage tourism, support local businesses and become lasting traditions that continue growing alongside the Cave City Watermelon Festival.
