A major donation from Bad Boy Mowers is helping expand cancer treatment services at White River Health in Batesville as the healthcare system continues work on its new Oncology & Infusion Center expansion project.

White River Health announced the gift as part of a capital campaign that has now raised $5.4 million for the project. Lead donors include Bad Boy Mowers and First Community Bank, along with support from the Delta Regional Authority, Mabee Foundation, private donors, and WRH employees.

White River Health President and CEO Steven Webb said the expansion will allow the healthcare system to increase treatment capacity while improving patient comfort and care throughout North Central Arkansas.

The project will expand the Oncology & Infusion Center from 4,831 square feet to 11,649 square feet. Planned additions include upgraded oncology pharmacy space, nutritional support areas, expanded nursing workspaces, a covered patient entrance, larger waiting areas, and a healing garden and patio.

Bad Boy Mowers CEO Peter Ballantyne said the company is proud to support local healthcare access and ensure patients can receive treatment close to home.

Construction began in December with Cromwell Architects Engineers serving as architect and FARCO acting as general contractor.

Bad Boy Mowers is headquartered in Batesville and is known nationwide for its professional-grade zero-turn mowers, tractors, handheld tools, pressure washers, and utility vehicles.

White River Health is an independent nonprofit healthcare system serving communities across North Central Arkansas, including Batesville and Mountain View.
