The Searcy Lady Lions finished 3rd and Greenbrier placed 8th in the 2026 Class 5A Girls Golf State Championship Tuesday at Searcy Country Club.
Russellville captured the team state championship with a score of 243, edging Greenwood by just 1 stroke. Greenwood finished runner-up at 244.
Searcy followed in 3rd place with a team score of 252.
El Dorado finished 4th at 264, followed by Little Rock Christian at 271, Benton at 278, Shiloh Christian at 285, Greenbrier at 310, Valley View at 315 and Lakeside at 317.
SEARCY PLACES 3 GOLFERS AMONG INDIVIDUAL LEADERS
Searcy also had 3 golfers finish among the top individual scores at the state tournament.
Ryne Gosdin led the Lady Lions with an 80, finishing 4th overall.
Carmela McFarland and Leighton Stewart each shot an 86, tying for 7th place.
Russellville’s Roccelle Manns won the individual state championship with a 72.
Greenwood’s Ellery Hogeland finished 2nd with a 75, while Greenwood teammate Payton Crowe placed 3rd with a 79.

The championship was played at Searcy Country Club, giving the Lady Lions the opportunity to compete for a state title on their home course.
Searcy entered the state tournament after winning the 5A East Conference Championship.
Gosdin had also captured the conference individual championship, while McFarland and Stewart earned strong finishes during the postseason.
Greenbrier also represented the ArkansasRadio.com coverage region at the state championship, finishing 8th overall with a team score of 310.
Searcy capped its season with a 3rd-place state finish and 3 golfers among the leading individual scores in Class 5A, while Greenbrier earned a top-10 state finish.
