Authorities responded swiftly to a high‑profile law‑enforcement operation Saturday that sent shockwaves through the Nashville community.
A coordinated raid by local and state agencies in Nashville, Arkansas resulted in two arrests and the seizure of significant amounts of drugs, cash, firearms and an illegal Glock switch, prompting a federal investigation.
Search Warrant Leads to Arrests and Seizure
On September 25, the Nashville Police Department, Arkansas State Police and Arkansas Game and Fish joined the 9th West Drug Task Force to execute a search warrant at 515 W. Sypert Street in Nashville. The operation led to two arrests.
Kenyon Guarisco, an 18‑year‑old white male, was arrested on charges that include simultaneous possession of drugs and firearms, drug paraphernalia, maintaining a drug premises and possession of a Schedule VI controlled substance with intent to deliver. David Lima, a 20‑year‑old Hispanic male, was arrested for obstructing governmental operations and driving on a suspended license.
Agents seized $2,880 in cash, 2,115.1 grams of marijuana and 182.1 grams of psilocybin mushrooms, along with a Glock .40 pistol, a Glock switch, a Matrix Arms 7.62 mm rifle and other equipment. The items were listed in the warrant inventory.
Federal investigators were contacted to begin a probe into the illegal Glock switch, which can convert a handgun into an automatic firearm. Possession of such a device carries a federal prison sentence, and the outcome of the investigation is not yet known.
