The Trumann Police Department, acting on an alert from Jonesboro Police, recovered a stolen 2022 GMC Terrain on Interstate 555, apprehended the driver Jacob Bell, and seized cash, drugs and paraphernalia, highlighting coordinated law‑enforcement efforts.
Stolen Vehicle Recovered After Interstate Alert
On September 23, 2026, Jonesboro Police notified the Trumann Police Department of a stolen 2022 GMC Terrain traveling southbound on Interstate 555. Officer Edwards located and stopped the vehicle. The driver, Jacob Bell, was taken into custody.
Officers recovered the vehicle, $420 in cash, and other property reported stolen from St. Bernards Medical Center. They also found suspected illegal drugs and drug paraphernalia. Bell now faces multiple charges, including theft by receiving and possession of a controlled substance.
The department also reported the recovery of three stolen four‑wheelers and the return of $1,800 worth of stolen property to its owner. One juvenile has been taken into custody, with arrests of two additional juveniles expected. These actions were supported by the Real‑Time Crime Center.
Chief Doug Thomas thanked officers, investigators, and the Real‑Time Crime Center for their coordinated response. The recent recoveries illustrate the department’s commitment to community safety. No further details are currently known.
