The Batesville School District and Pioneer Park Steering Committee will host the Pioneer Park Veterans Memorial Dedication on Friday, August 28, 2026.
The ceremony will begin at 5:30 p.m. at Pioneer Stadium.
The memorial was created to honor the service and sacrifice of veterans throughout the Pioneer community. It also recognizes members of the Pioneer family who have given their lives in military service since World War 1.
Veterans, active-duty military members, community members, students, staff, alumni, families and local supporters are invited to attend the dedication.
Honor Bricks remain available for those who would like to recognize a veteran, active-duty military member or loved one who served.
The commemorative bricks provide families and community members with a lasting way to honor military service while supporting the Pioneer Park Veterans Memorial.
