A Perry County jury has convicted a Perry man on multiple rape and sexual assault charges following a joint investigation by the Arkansas State Police Criminal Investigation Division and the Perry County Sheriff’s Office.

According to authorities, on Tuesday, June 16, 2026, a jury found Jake Anthoney Hoyt, 50, of Perry, guilty of 3 counts of rape and 3 counts of second-degree sexual assault.
The investigation began in November 2025 and was conducted jointly by the Arkansas State Police Criminal Investigation Division and the Perry County Sheriff’s Office.
Following the guilty verdict, Hoyt was sentenced to life in the Arkansas Department of Corrections on the rape convictions and an additional 20 years on the sexual assault convictions. Court records indicate the sentences will run consecutively.
Officials said the conviction concludes months of investigative work by local and state law enforcement agencies and prosecution efforts in Perry County Circuit Court.
All defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law. In this case, a jury returned guilty verdicts on all charges listed.
