The public is invited to step back in time during a special Declaration of Independence Reading this Saturday at 10 a.m. at Pioneer Village, located at 1200 Veterans Boulevard in Searcy.
Community members will read different portions of America’s founding document, with many participants dressed in period clothing to recreate the spirit of 1776.
Following the reading, a special tribute honoring America’s veterans will feature the Seven Solemn Tolls, using the historic school bell located at Pioneer Village.
Organizers invite residents of all ages to attend the free community event celebrating American history, patriotism, and the nation’s founding principles.
The event offers an opportunity for families to experience history firsthand while honoring both the nation’s founders and the men and women who have served in the United States Armed Forces.
