After 52 years of dedicated service to the community, Bob Reed is officially retiring from Reed’s Service, a business that has been a cornerstone of Cave City since 1974.
From its early days as a small service station to becoming a legendary name in the region, Reed’s Service built a reputation on honesty, reliability, and hard work. Generations of families across Cave City and surrounding communities have depended on Bob Reed’s commitment to quality service.
Bob Connell, owner of ArkansasRadio.com, reflected on Reed’s impact:
“I remember Bob working there when I was 9 years old in 1974. He loved what he did and shared that with my mom, and she said if you love what you do it will never feel like work. Congratulations Bob — helping 1,000’s of people over the years in Cave City. You are an inspiration.”
As Bob Reed steps into retirement, the business will continue under Anthony “Tiny” Reed and Morgan, who are taking over ownership and leadership. The community is welcoming the next generation, confident the legacy of service, trust, and dedication will continue.
