A fatal crash in Sharp County claimed the life of a Smithville man Sunday afternoon.
According to the Arkansas State Police, the crash occurred at approximately 4:51 PM on April 19 2026 at the intersection of U.S. 63 and U.S. 63 Business in Hardy.
Authorities say a 2006 Mercury Mariner traveling northbound failed to yield the right of way and entered the path of a southbound 2004 Harley Davidson motorcycle.
The rider, Larry E. Bratcher, 64, of Smithville, was killed in the crash. No other injuries were reported.
Conditions were clear and dry at the time. The crash remains under investigation.
