Entergy Arkansas CEO Laura Landreaux will be honored with the 31st Annual Arkansas Children’s Award during a special fundraising dinner Monday, October 26, 2026, at the Little Rock Marriott Hotel.

The Arkansas Sheriffs’ Youth Ranches announced Landreaux as this year’s recipient in recognition of her dedication to improving opportunities and creating brighter futures for children and families throughout Arkansas.

For 31 years, the Arkansas Sheriffs’ Youth Ranches has recognized individuals who have made outstanding contributions to the lives of Arkansas children.

The annual award honors Arkansans whose actions reflect the mission of the organization, which provides a safe and supportive home for children facing difficult circumstances.

This year’s recipient, Laura Landreaux, is being recognized for her leadership, commitment to community service and support of educational opportunities for Arkansas youth.

A LIFETIME COMMITMENT TO HELPING CHILDREN

A native of Little Rock, Landreaux grew up in a family that emphasized the importance of service and making a difference in the lives of others.

Her mother, a former teacher, continues tutoring kindergarten students into her 80s, demonstrating the lasting impact educators and mentors can have on young children.

Landreaux also credits her father’s advice as an important influence on her career and commitment to helping others.

“Your life is changed as you change the life of others,” her father once told her. “Choose a professional life that satisfies you and helps others.”

As CEO of Entergy Arkansas, Landreaux has continued that commitment through programs and investments designed to improve educational opportunities and strengthen families throughout the state.

Each year, Entergy Arkansas invests millions of dollars in efforts to expand access to early childhood education and literacy, address childhood hunger, improve family stability and support youth development programs.

Her work extends beyond her professional responsibilities.

Landreaux serves on the boards of directors of Easterseals Arkansas, the Academies of Central Arkansas and the Foundation of the Mid South.

These organizations focus on improving educational opportunities, strengthening communities and helping children and families build better futures.

Officials with Arkansas Sheriffs’ Youth Ranches say her dedication to children and families makes her an outstanding recipient of the 2026 Arkansas Children’s Award.
