, , Leave a comment

Motorists across Arkansas are continuing to see some relief at the gas pump as regular unleaded gasoline prices move lower, with a newly reported price in Searcy dropping to $3.45 and 9/10 cents per gallon.

Searcy’s latest reported regular unleaded gasoline price is $3.459 per gallon as of Friday, October 23, 2026, a decrease of 10 cents per gallon from a locally photographed price of $3.559 on October 18.

The latest local reading comes as AAA reports the Arkansas statewide average for regular unleaded gasoline has fallen to approximately $3.87 per gallon.

That places Searcy’s newly reported pump price approximately 41 cents below the statewide average.

ArkansasRadio.com Radio Stations has also updated its regional gasoline price comparison graphic featuring 9 communities across Central and North Central Arkansas.

The graphic includes the new Searcy price alongside the previously reported prices for Sherwood, Conway, Greenbrier, Cabot, Newport, Beebe, Batesville and Heber Springs.

Searcy Gasoline Drops Another 10 Cents Per Gallon

Searcy drivers are seeing continued reductions in gasoline prices.

On October 18, ArkansasRadio.com reported a photographed local gasoline price of $3.559 per gallon.

The newly supplied October 23 price of $3.459 represents another 10-cent reduction.

The decrease can make a difference for drivers who regularly commute to work, transport children to school or travel between communities.

At $3.459 per gallon, purchasing 15 gallons of regular unleaded gasoline costs approximately $51.89.

The same 15 gallons at the previously reported $3.559 price would cost approximately $53.39.

That represents a savings of $1.50 on a 15-gallon purchase in just 5 days.

Gasoline Price Comparison for 9 Arkansas Communities

ArkansasRadio.com has been tracking advertised regular unleaded gasoline prices in 9 cities across the region.

The updated comparison includes the newly reported October 23 Searcy price and previously reported prices for the other 8 communities.

  • SHERWOOD — $3.71 — Earlier October 15 report
  • CONWAY — $3.75 — Earlier October 15 report

  • NEWPORT — $3.84 — Earlier October 15 report
  • BEEBE — $3.86 — Earlier October 15 report
  • BATESVILLE — $3.88 — Earlier October 15 report
  • HEBER SPRINGS — $3.92 — Earlier October 15 report

IMPORTANT: The Searcy price is a newly supplied October 23 reading. Prices for the other 8 cities are retained from the earlier October 15 comparison and have not been independently updated for October 23.

These figures represent reported prices at individual stations, not citywide averages. Prices may vary between stations and change throughout the day.

Searcy Price Stands Out in Regional Comparison

Among the reported prices displayed in the updated ArkansasRadio.com comparison, Searcy has the lowest figure at $3.459 per gallon.

Sherwood’s previously reported price was $3.71, followed by Conway at $3.75 and Greenbrier at $3.77.

Other previously reported prices included Cabot at $3.81, Newport at $3.84, Beebe at $3.86, Batesville at $3.88 and Heber Springs at $3.92.

The newly reported Searcy price is approximately 46 cents lower than the earlier Heber Springs reading.

However, because those prices were recorded on different dates, the difference should not be considered a confirmed current price gap between the 2 cities.

Drivers should check prices at individual stations before filling their tanks.

AAA Reports Arkansas Statewide Gasoline Average at $3.87

According to AAA’s October 23, 2026, fuel price report, Arkansas motorists are paying an average of approximately $3.87 per gallon for regular unleaded gasoline.

The statewide average continues to move lower following several weeks of declining prices.

AAA’s October 23 statewide averages include:

  • REGULAR UNLEADED — $3.87
  • MID-GRADE — $4.37
  • PREMIUM — $4.74
  • DIESEL — $5.92

The statewide regular gasoline average was approximately $3.93 a week earlier and $4.07 a month earlier.

That represents a decline of approximately 6 cents over the past week and 20 cents over the past month.

Despite those decreases, the statewide gasoline average remains substantially higher than the approximately $2.67 per gallon reported during the same period in 2025.

How Much Can Searcy Drivers Save?

The difference between Searcy’s newly reported $3.459 gasoline price and Arkansas’ statewide average of approximately $3.868 can add up for motorists.

15-GALLON FILL-UP

  • SEARCY REPORTED PRICE: $3.459 per gallon — TOTAL: $51.89
  • ARKANSAS STATEWIDE AVERAGE: Approximately $3.868 per gallon — TOTAL: $58.02
  • POTENTIAL DIFFERENCE: Approximately $6.13

For a 20-gallon purchase, the difference would be approximately $8.18.

These comparisons illustrate the difference between 1 reported local station price and the statewide average. Actual costs depend on the location, fuel grade and price available when the driver purchases gasoline.

Why Are Arkansas Gasoline Prices Falling?

AAA says the nationwide transition to winter-blend gasoline is helping reduce fuel costs.

Winter-blend gasoline is generally less expensive to produce than summer-blend fuel because of differences in federal fuel specifications.

The seasonal change can provide relief for consumers as refineries transition to winter fuel production.

However, AAA also notes that elevated crude oil prices have limited the size of recent gasoline price reductions.

Crude oil prices were hovering near $100 per barrel during the latest reporting period.

Other factors affecting gasoline prices include refinery operations, fuel inventories, transportation costs and regional demand.

Arkansas Gasoline Prices Remain Below National Average

Although fuel prices remain higher than they were a year ago, Arkansas drivers continue to pay less than the national average.

AAA reported a national average of approximately $4.29 per gallon on October 23, compared with Arkansas at approximately $3.87.

That places the Arkansas average approximately 42 cents below the national figure.

The difference can be significant for drivers who purchase gasoline regularly.

Arkansas continues to be among the less expensive states for gasoline, although prices remain elevated compared with 2025.

Diesel Prices Remain Elevated Across Arkansas

While regular gasoline prices have been declining, diesel fuel remains expensive.

AAA’s October 23 figures place the Arkansas statewide diesel average at approximately $5.92 per gallon.

Diesel prices affect trucking companies, farmers, construction businesses, delivery services and other industries that depend on diesel-powered vehicles.

Higher diesel costs can also contribute to increased transportation expenses for goods and supplies.

ArkansasRadio.com previously reported a photographed Searcy diesel price of $5.699 per gallon on October 18.

That earlier local diesel price should not be treated as a confirmed October 23 reading.

Drivers Encouraged to Compare Gas Prices Before Filling Up

Motorists traveling through Searcy, Beebe, Cabot, Conway, Sherwood, Newport, Batesville, Greenbrier and Heber Springs may benefit from comparing local gasoline prices.

However, fuel prices can vary significantly between stations in the same community.

A lower price at 1 location does not necessarily represent the average price throughout the city.

Drivers should also consider how far they must travel to purchase cheaper gasoline.

Driving several additional miles to save a few cents per gallon may reduce or eliminate potential savings.

ArkansasRadio.com Continues Tracking Regional Fuel Prices

ArkansasRadio.com Radio Stations continues following gasoline and diesel price developments across Central and North Central Arkansas.

The newly reported Searcy gasoline price of $3.459 per gallon is another indication of falling local pump prices.

With Arkansas’ statewide average now approximately $3.87, motorists are seeing lower gasoline costs than earlier in October.

For now, Searcy’s newly reported $3.459 gasoline price offers an example of the lower pump prices some Arkansas drivers are finding as the fall season continues.

Prices remain subject to change without notice.
