The Beebe City Council approved several major items Monday night involving residential growth, emergency communications, city equipment and nearly $1 million in street paving and drainage work during 2026.

Council members approved the purchase of a new 2027 Ram crew cab truck for the Beebe Water and Sewer Department.

The truck will be purchased through the state contract from Landers Chrysler for $42,250 and will be used to support city water and sewer operations.

Residential development was also a major part of the meeting.

The council accepted the final plats and public utility dedications associated with Phase 6 East of Hidden Valley and Phase 2 of Floridian Heights.

The projects represent continued residential development in Beebe and include the dedication of streets and utility infrastructure associated with the new phases.

The council also approved a proposed agreement involving emergency 9-1-1 dispatch services.

The agreement calls for Beebe to pay $100,000 annually as part of consolidated emergency dispatch operations.

Street improvements were another major item before the council.

City leaders authorized overlay and paving work on Duane Drive and South Cedar.

With those projects included, Beebe’s paving and drainage expenditures for 2026 are approaching $1 million.

Mayor Mike Robertson also presented information from the city’s 2025 audit.

According to information presented at the meeting, the audit returned clean findings with no supplemental disclosures.

The council also received an update concerning early voting in Beebe.

Early voting is scheduled to be available at Beebe City Hall on October 29, October 30 and October 31.

The September 28 meeting continued a year of infrastructure and development discussions for city leaders as Beebe addresses residential growth, road improvements, public utilities and emergency services.
