West Side Greers Ferry finished as the 2026 1A Girls Golf State Runner-Up while Viola placed 3rd, Shirley finished 4th and Concord came home 6th at the Arkansas Activities Association 1A Girls Golf State Championship at Paragould Country Club.
Crowley’s Ridge captured the state championship with a team score of 296.
West Side Greers Ferry was 2nd with a 307, finishing 11 strokes behind the champions.
Viola followed closely in 3rd with a 309.
Shirley finished 4th with a team score of 351, Scranton was 5th at 353 and Concord finished 6th with a 354.
Lead Hill placed 7th with a 356, Bradley was 8th with a 359, Alpena finished 9th at 366 and Mount Ida rounded out the top 10 with a 384.

WEST SIDE’S LAINEE GENTRY WINS MEDALIST HONORS
West Side Greers Ferry’s Lainee Gentry captured individual medalist honors with the best round of the championship, shooting an 82.
Gentry finished 1 stroke ahead of Arkansas Christian Academy’s Carla Best, who shot an 83 to finish 2nd.
Crowley’s Ridge golfer Callie Short finished 3rd with an 85.
Viola’s Avery Rogers placed 4th with a 97.
A 4-way tie followed at 101.
Lead Hill’s Elizabeth Archer, Scranton’s Madelyn Summers, Concord’s Lilli Southerland and Viola’s Shayden Waltrip all finished tied for 5th.
Crowley’s Ridge golfer Chloe Watson placed 9th with a 102.
Norfork’s Cate Shaddy rounded out the top 10 with a score of 104.
