Will and Marshall Barnett, a father and son from Buckeye, Arizona, have uncovered a 2-carat diamond at Arkansas’ Crater of Diamonds State Park in Murfreesboro. Visitors to the park get the opportunity to name any diamonds they find, and the Barnetts, who usually pan for gold, chose the name “Minor Find” for their discovery.
In a playful nod to the experience, dad Will now refers to his son Marshall as a “minor-miner.” The “Minor Find” is the 412th diamond to be registered from the park this year.
