The Searcy High School Lady Lions will have home-course advantage Tuesday as the Arkansas 5A Girls State Golf Tournament comes to Searcy Country Club.
The state championship is scheduled for Tuesday, September 29, 2026, bringing some of the top Class 5A girls golfers in Arkansas to Searcy.
The Lady Lions enter the state tournament with momentum after capturing the 5A East Conference Championship last week.
Ryne Gosdin led Searcy at the conference championship, earning the individual conference title with a winning score of 77.
Gosdin will be joined by All-Conference golfers Leighton Stewart and Carmela McFarland as the Lady Lions compete for a state championship on their home course.
Hosting the state tournament gives Searcy an opportunity to welcome golfers, coaches, families and supporters from across Arkansas while giving the Lady Lions the familiarity of competing at Searcy Country Club.
Searcy High School is encouraging the community to support the Lady Lions as they compete at State.
The 5A Girls State Golf Tournament is scheduled for Tuesday, September 29, at Searcy Country Club in Searcy.
Fans who cannot attend can follow the tournament through the Arkansas Activities Association Golf App, which provides tournament and competitor information.
