New booking information has been released for the woman arrested after a vehicle crashed into a Maumelle Waffle House early Sunday morning, killing an employee inside the restaurant.
Maumelle Police responded around 12:25 a.m. September 27 to the Waffle House on State Highway 365 after a vehicle reportedly drove into the restaurant.
Police said an employee inside the restaurant suffered fatal injuries.
DRIVER IDENTIFIED AS RANISHA PEEBLES
Police identified the driver as 34-year-old Ranisha D. Peebles.
Pulaski County booking records show Peebles was booked at 12:35 a.m. September 27 under booking number 13314-26 after being arrested by the Maumelle Police Department.
The booking record lists the following charges:
Negligent Homicide
Refusal to Submit to Chemical Test
Driving While Intoxicated — DWI 1st
Reckless Driving
Obstructing Governmental Operations
Open Container Containing Alcohol in Motor Vehicle
FATAL CRASH REMAINS UNDER INVESTIGATION
Authorities said the vehicle entered the Waffle House shortly after midnight.
The employee injured in the crash later died from those injuries.
The Maumelle Police Department said the investigation remains ongoing.
Additional information, including the identity of the employee, could be released after family members have been notified.
A criminal charge is an accusation. Peebles is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in a court of law.
