A remarkable act of bravery unfolded in Union County, quickly drawing community admiration.
Attorney John Lightfoot survived a serious medical crisis after Shane Tucker, together with Jermillian Carter, provided immediate assistance near Exit 16 on Highway 167, an effort later honored by a Letter of Commendation from the Union County Sheriff’s Office.
Tucker and Carter Aid Lightfoot During Medical Emergency
Shane Tucker responded to a medical emergency involving Attorney John Lightfoot near Exit 16 on Highway 167. He was joined by Jermillian Carter, who also recognized the seriousness of the situation.
The two quickly determined that Lightfoot was experiencing a critical health event and began offering aid. They remained with him until emergency medical services arrived.
Upon arrival, Tucker continued to assist the EMTs as they placed Lightfoot on a stretcher and prepared him for transport. Their help helped ensure that each moment was used effectively.
The Union County Sheriff’s Office subsequently issued a Letter of Commendation, signed by Sheriff Charlie Phillips, praising Tucker’s swift, compassionate response. The letter highlights his role in saving Lightfoot’s life.
