Arkansas SHIP Day drew a strong turnout Thursday, September 10, at the Cleburne County Fair in Heber Springs despite unseasonably hot temperatures.

Visitors stopped by from 9 AM until noon for free bingo, prizes and an opportunity to get answers to their Medicare questions.

Certified local Arkansas SHIP counselors were on hand providing free, confidential and unbiased Medicare guidance.

Counselors also provided information about programs that may help eligible Medicare beneficiaries save money on prescription medications and other health care costs.

The event gave visitors a chance to sit down with local counselors, ask questions and learn more about Medicare options in a relaxed setting at the fair.

Even with the hot September weather, residents continued to stop by throughout the morning to take part in the activities and receive Medicare information.

The ArkansasRadio.com radio stations were also on location, with KWCK 99-9, Timeless 106.1 KFFB, Cool 104.7 & 99.1, Cowboy Country 100.7 KEAZ, and The Bull 105-7 KBGB broadcasting live from the Cleburne County Fair during the event.

Organizers thanked everyone who came out, participated in the bingo games and visited with Arkansas SHIP counselors.

Arkansas SHIP provides free, confidential and unbiased assistance to Medicare beneficiaries and their families.
