Arkansas Fire Crews Scramble After “Trash Fire” Spreads Into Woods

They got to it just in time!

Local sources report that a trash fire near Hill Creek spread into nearby woods Sunday afternoon. They shared photographs online in an official announcement on August 24th.

‘Trash Fire” Stopped in Arkansas By Firefighters

Firefighters from HillCreek, Plumerville and Springfield responded.

Crews from the Arkansas Forestry Division also assisted. The blaze burned about three to four acres. Crews contained the fire.

Forestry personnel plowed a containment line to prevent rekindling.

The Conway County Sheriff’s Office is investigating how the fire started.
