The Arkansas Broadcasters Association has officially launched its search for a new Executive Director following the planned retirement of longtime Executive Director Neal Gladner later this year.

ABA President Kristen Speer announced the search Tuesday, saying the organization is focused on finding a leader who will continue supporting broadcasters across Arkansas.

“On behalf of the Arkansas Broadcasters Association, I am pleased to announce the search for our next Executive Director,” Speer said. “We are deeply grateful to Neal for his leadership and service to our members, and we are committed to finding a successor who will continue to strengthen and advance our Association.”

Speer said the ABA Board of Directors has formed a search committee and plans to give preference to candidates with broadcast management experience. She added the organization is looking for someone who understands the important role broadcasters serve in communities throughout Arkansas.

Applications, resumes, and letters of interest should be submitted to careers@arkbroadcasters.org by June 30.

Gladner will remain in the position until a new Executive Director is selected or until the Arkansas Broadcasters Association Annual Convention in September, whichever comes first.

The Arkansas Broadcasters Association represents over-the-air radio and television stations across Arkansas and provides services including internships, scholarships, advocacy, and industry support for broadcasters statewide.
