Ozarka College has announced the hiring of Mary Justus as Director of TRIO – Student Support Services, strengthening the college’s commitment to student achievement and access across North Central Arkansas.

In her new role as Mary Justus Director of TRIO Student Support Services, Justus will provide leadership and oversight for the college’s federally funded TRIO program. The program supports eligible students through academic guidance, retention services, and access to resources designed to promote success in college and beyond.
TRIO is specifically designed to assist first-generation college students, individuals with limited income, and students with documented disabilities. Through tutoring, academic advising, career exploration, financial literacy support, and individualized coaching, the program helps students persist through graduation and prepare for long-term career success.
“We are glad to have Mary on board,” said Zeda Pruitt, vice president of student services. “She understands the challenges that our TRIO students face and has the experience to help them navigate those challenges as they work toward their educational goals.”
College officials say Justus’ leadership will enhance services that empower students to overcome barriers and reach their full potential. Ozarka College leaders emphasized that the TRIO program plays a vital role in improving retention and graduation rates, especially for students who may face additional obstacles in pursuing higher education.
