A Searcy man is facing a $100,000 bond after prosecutors formally charged him in connection with a fatal DWI crash that killed an Augusta man and injured two others earlier this year.

According to public crash records from the Arkansas State Police (ASP), the collision happened on May 28, 2025, on U.S. Highway 64 East. Investigators say 23-year-old Griffin Isaak Miller was driving a 2017 Ford F-150 when he crossed the centerline and collided head-on with a 2017 Ford Escape driven by 66-year-old Michael Brown of Augusta.
Both vehicles left the roadway, and Brown’s vehicle struck a tree. Brown was pronounced dead at the scene.
Two passengers in Brown’s vehicle — identified in public reports as Keagan Brown and Gina Brown — were injured. Miller was also hurt and transported for medical treatment.
Prosecutors have now filed multiple charges, including:
Negligent Homicide – Class B Felony
Two counts of Second-Degree Battery – Class C Felonies
DWI – Second Offense
Court records state that the charges stem from Miller allegedly driving intoxicated at the time of the crash. The case is being handled in White County Circuit Court.
Authorities have not released additional investigative details as the case moves forward.
