Fairfield Bay, AR, kicked off “Fairfield Bay 2035: A Strategic Vision for Our Community” on May 6, 2025, aiming to enhance the city’s vibrancy and sustainability. The initiative, led by a newly formed Steering Committee, will focus on gathering input from residents and stakeholders.
The news was announced by the Fairfield Bay Chamber of Commerce on social media:
Mayor Seth Connell expressed excitement, calling Fairfield Bay a special place and emphasizing the initiative’s goal:
“Fairfield Bay 2035 represents our commitment to listen to our residents, embrace bold ideas, and create a shared roadmap…”
The Steering Committee features members like Chamber Board President Kevin Feeler and Resort GM Rory Bradley.
Chamber President Kevin Feeler stressed that this is not a top-down process but a chance for residents to shape Fairfield Bay’s future:
“This is not a top-down planning process. The end result will be a community-driven vision.”
Resort General Manager Rory Bradley emphasized the role of the city’s assets and using them strategically:
“Fairfield Bay’s resort and recreational offerings are already second to none. This planning process gives us the chance to enhance those assets even further, ensuring that Fairfield Bay remains a destination of choice for visitors and a beloved home for residents.”
The initiative will prioritize economic and community vitality while maintaining the city’s appeal as a resort and recreational destination. Dr. Jeff Standridge, a part-time resident and planning consultant, will lead the process with regular committee meetings.
Residents can participate by completing the community survey at www.FBChamber.com/Vision2035 or contacting Standridge at JeffS@ARConductor.org or 501-514-3206. Mayor Connell invited all to join this “once-in-a-generation opportunity” to dream big and build boldly.
