Tax-delinquent parcels from Cleburne, Faulkner and Van Buren Counties will be offered during a regional public auction Wednesday, Sept. 9, at the Conway Expo & Event Center.

The auction begins at 10 a.m. at 600 Expo Boulevard in Conway. Bidder registration opens at 9 a.m.
“Regional auctions have been a popular and efficient adaptation,” Arkansas Commissioner of State Lands Tommy Land said. “Bidders can be at the sales for multiple counties at a single event.”
The parcels will be auctioned alphabetically by county. Prospective bidders can view the complete Public Auction Catalog at www.cosl.org. The catalog contains the parcels being offered, auction information and additional resources for buyers.
COSL encourages bidders to review the buyer’s guide, applicable statutes and available parcel information before bidding. The website also features a video explaining how to research tax-delinquent properties.
Property owners have until 4 p.m. on the final business day before the auction to redeem a tax-delinquent parcel. COSL must receive both the Petition to Redeem and full payment by that deadline.
Parcels sold during the live auction cannot be redeemed. Those auction sales are final.
Owners may redeem delinquent parcels online at www.cosl.org using a credit or debit card. Those paying by check or money order must submit a completed Petition to Redeem with their payment. The petition can be printed from the COSL website or requested by calling 501-324-9422.
COSL says owners seeking to redeem a parcel within 30 days before an auction must use certified funds or may pay with cash in person at the COSL Real Estate Office at 7003 Valley Ranch Drive, off Highway 10 in west Little Rock.
Cash is accepted only for in-person property redemptions at that office. It is not accepted for purchases at the auction.
Bidders must register before participating and must present a qualifying federal or state-issued identification card from within the United States.
Purchases must be paid in full at the auction site. Accepted payment methods include business checks, personal checks and credit or debit cards.
Bidding begins at the total amount of taxes, penalties and interest owed on each parcel.
The 2025 property taxes are not included in the opening bid because those taxes are not yet delinquent. Winning bidders must pay the 2025 taxes directly to the appropriate county tax collector by Oct. 15.
Properties that do not sell during the Sept. 9 auction will appear on the COSL post-auction sales list approximately 30 days later. Those properties can then be purchased through the agency’s online auction system.
“Property taxes help fund schools, roads, libraries and public services including ambulances,” Land said.
Additional information, parcel listings, buyer resources and instructional videos are available at www.cosl.org.
