Bailey’s Family Restaurant is celebrating 2 successful years in Cave City and reflecting on the customers and friendships that helped make the milestone possible.
Restaurant owners recently shared photos and memories from their anniversary celebration, including a special visit from the very first couple ever served when Bailey’s opened its Cave City location 2 years ago.

According to the restaurant, the unnamed couple returned during the anniversary celebration, allowing the staff to recreate the special moment from opening day.
Owners thanked the couple for supporting Bailey’s from the very beginning and for becoming much more than customers over the years.

The celebration also recognized longtime supporters Jody and Richard Hawkins. Before Bailey’s opened in Cave City, the couple regularly drove to the restaurant’s Melbourne location 1 to 2 times each week.
Owners recalled that Richard often encouraged the family to open a restaurant in Cave City. They said he frequently tried to convince “Dad” to move the business, but he would always laugh and respond that he could not run 2 restaurants.
Today, Bailey’s Family Restaurant has become a popular dining destination in Cave City, serving customers from throughout Independence and Sharp counties.
Restaurant owners say the anniversary celebration was a reminder that many of their customers have become lifelong friends and extended family members.
“We’re truly blessed by friendships that turn into family,” the restaurant shared.
