Hot Springs Pair Visits All 52 State Parks in 52 Weeks

, , Leave a comment

Steve Campbell and Erin Baber of Hot Springs are the newest members of Club 52 after visiting all 52 Arkansas state parks in just 52 weeks.

Arkansas State Parks congratulated the pair, who averaged 1 park a week for a full year to collect a stamp from every state park in Arkansas.

Campbell and Baber celebrated at the Ozark Folk Center State Park in Mountain View, posing with their completed Arkansas State Parks Passports while wearing the light blue Club 52 T-shirts reserved for visitors who reach all 52 parks.

The Arkansas State Parks Passport is free and available at any state park visitor center. Visitors get their passport stamped at each park’s visitor center, and outdoor rubbing stations are available when visitor centers are closed. The passport also includes space to write down favorite memories from each stop.

Club 52 is the free rewards program tied to the passport:

5 stamps: Club 52 sticker
25 stamps: Club 52 playing cards
All 52 stamps: Club 52 T-shirt

Rewards are redeemed by bringing a passport to any park visitor center during business hours. Stickers and playing cards are handed out on the spot, while T-shirts are ordered and mailed.

Arkansas’ 52 state parks stretch from the Ozark and Ouachita mountains to the Delta, including several in the ArkansasRadio.com listening area such as the Ozark Folk Center, Woolly Hollow, Petit Jean, Jacksonport, Lake Charles, Bull Shoals-White River and Lake Dardanelle state parks.
