Families gathered in Searcy to celebrate the grand opening of the newly renovated Berry Hill Park featuring a brand-new inclusive playground and splash pad designed for children of all abilities.
City leaders, community partners, elected officials, and members of the Berry Hill family attended the ribbon cutting ceremony as children helped officially activate the splash pad during a countdown celebration.
Officials say the project is one of the first completed developments under the My Searcy bond improvement plan and includes expanded parking, upgraded safety features, walking paths, playground structures, pickleball access, and an inclusive design focused on accessibility for every child.
Miss Arkansas Kennedy Holland spoke during the event, praising Searcy’s commitment to inclusion and accessibility across the community.
City officials thanked residents for supporting the My Searcy initiative and said additional improvement projects are still planned across the city over the next several years.
