Arkansas State University-Beebe has officially opened registration for the 2026 Vanguard Discovery Camp, offering students hands-on STEAM learning experiences across 3 campus locations this summer.
Camp sessions will take place in Heber Springs Arkansas from June 2–4, Beebe Arkansas from June 9–11, and Searcy Arkansas from June 16–18. Organizers say spots are limited and expected to fill quickly.
The Vanguard Discovery Camp focuses on science, technology, engineering, arts, and math through interactive activities designed to spark curiosity and build real-world skills. Students will participate in projects such as art, first aid training, engineering challenges, cooking, snap circuits, and “mad scientist” experiments.
One of the highlights includes building and racing Pinewood Derby cars, where students design, sand, paint, and test their creations for speed and performance.
Heather Stogner, director of workforce and community development, says the camp provides a unique opportunity for students to experience hands-on learning while also exploring future educational opportunities on a college campus.
The program is supported by presenting sponsor Entergy Arkansas, along with several local business partners helping expand access to students across the region.
Registration is $100 per student, and sponsorships are available to cover tuition costs for those in need.
