The White County Master Gardeners have announced the recipient of their 2026 Agriculture Scholarship, awarding the honor to Madalyn Johnson, a graduating senior from White County Central High School.

Johnson, the daughter of Jason and Rebecca Johnson, plans to pursue a degree in agriculture following graduation, aiming to build a career in the agricultural industry.
The scholarship is awarded annually to a White County student who demonstrates strong academic performance, community involvement, and a commitment to agriculture. The award provides $1,000 per semester, totaling up to $2,000.
Funding for the scholarship comes through Master Gardener program efforts and community donations.
“We are proud to support students like Madalyn who represent the future of agriculture in our communities,” said Sherri Sanders, White County Extension Agent for Agriculture.
