Acres of land were destroyed in yet another Arkansas grass fire.
A vegetation fire was reported in Benton County around 6:03 p.m. Tuesday. Benton County 911/CenCom dispatched Hickory Creek Fire Department, then added Highway 94 East and Lowell fire departments while crews were en route. You can view the official pictures and announcement below.
Bulldozer Deployed By Firefighters In Arkansas After Acres Destroyed
The first-arriving brush truck found a 3- to 4-acre blaze. Command upgraded the call and requested an Arkansas Forestry Division dozer plus Beaver Lake Fire Department, Piney Point Fire Department, Rocky Branch Fire & Rescue, and Benton County EMA-1 with a drone.
Responding crews moved quickly and contained the fire to about 3–4 acres. The forestry dozer was key in cutting fire lines that stopped further spread.
Coordinated work by all units brought the fast-moving fire under control. Surrounding properties were protected.
