The University of Arkansas Community College at Batesville is expanding its hands-on agriculture training thanks to a major livestock donation.
Chimney Rock Cattle Company has donated 10 bred heifers to UACCB’s Farm and Ranch Management Program, strengthening student learning at The Farm at UACCB. The cattle were delivered April 27, providing real-world experience in livestock management, breeding, and daily ranch operations.
College leaders say the donation enhances opportunities for students preparing for careers in Arkansas’s agriculture industry. The gift also honors the legacy of the late Bill Davis, known for his commitment to mentoring future generations in agriculture.
UACCB officials say the donation will help grow the program and provide valuable experience for years to come.
