Sylvan Hills High School has announced the hiring of Trey Schucker as its new head football coach, bringing championship experience, strong leadership, and ties to Searcy football.

Schucker most recently served as head coach at Arkadelphia, where he led the Badgers to the 2024 Class 4A state championship. He is known for building high-powered offenses and developing student-athletes both on and off the field.
Locally, Schucker played a key role at Searcy High School as offensive coordinator during the Lions’ 2019 Class 6A state championship season, a highlight that still resonates with fans across the region.
Sylvan Hills officials say Schucker’s leadership in both the school and community made him the right choice to lead the Bears into a new era.
The school also welcomed Coach Schucker’s family, including his wife Morgan and their children Remi and Hayes, to the Bear family.
